Family Week Observed
The feast of the Holy Family saw the launching of a week-long celebration in honor of the Family in the parish with various activities which climaxed last Sunday, the feast of Epiphany.
During the launching, the parish priest emphasized in his homily the need to uphold those traditional Christian family values that will distinguish our families as truly modelled after the example of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
Among the activities planned was the witness of a selected couple sharing with the entire congregation some lessons learned during their participation in a diocesan workshop on “Amoris Laetitia”, and also from their marriage life, and encouraging all families to strive after achieving the kind of families expected of the followers of Christ.
The next day, coupled with New Year’s Day events, witnessed a well attended picnic style sharing and merry making. The week was climaxed with the feast of Epiphany.
